    Lamp killing humidity?

Any real fix to this other than turning off the light? My humidity is very stable when the light is off but with it on it just dries the air out so much and so fast I have to mist all the time. Any real fix to this?. I'm not using the light for heating purposes, its pretty low heat 65w day/night lights. Do you think getting a lower wattage light would fix this?

But another question is, do BP's really even need light cycles?. I only got it because the room the tank is in is pretty dark all the time, and I've been told they need day/night cycles?

from what I've learned, Ball Pythons don't need light. If your temps and humidity are spot on without it, get rid of it. I've been looking into LED lighting just for viewing purposes but haven't tried them yet. They might be a good option.

They don't need light cycles at all. They are nocturnal and prefer the darkness. The only light my snakes get is from the window. They've been in bright rooms and dark rooms and been just fine. Unless you really need the lamp for heat, just leave it off. Or get a fluorescent light that doesn't emit much heat and you will still have light, but not the insane humidity decrease.
