    This or That

So there are several morphs which we either know or suspect are just different lines of the same gene. Thing is, everyone has their opinion on which line they think is better. So I want to hear what you guys think!

    Coral glow or banana?
    Butter or lesser?
Sugar or calico (and WHICH calico?)
For that matter, what about the lines that aren't named differently at all (VPI axanthic vs Markus Jayne axanthic, etc)?

    Which one do you prefer!

In my opinion some of which will be shared by others and some not:

bananas and coral glows are the same.
butters and Lessers are considered the same but I'm not sure. some pictures I see out there the lesser looks a bit darker than butters. I'd like to consider them a diferent bloodline like citrus pastels and lemon pastels
Calicos and sugars while I think they might be related, I do not think they are the same. Calicos to me the white seems to be pixelated while sugars tend to be more melty
other than the lightning pieds I have not seen much of Mark's axanthics so I'll abstain from that one

    Re: This or That

Coral glow or banana? Don't care either way but I work with CG
Butter or lesser? Don't care either way but I work with Lesser
Sugar or calico (and WHICH calico?) Sugar however I do not work with them

For that matter, what about the lines that aren't named differently at all (VPI axanthic vs Markus Jayne axanthic, etc)? When it comes to axanthic you need to be careful as lines are not compatibles, I prefer VPI axanthics to me they look best also I am not a fan of plain axanthics and only have acquired a pastel axanthic to work toward one project Pastel and Super Pastel Lighting Pied.

I've got a banana myself, but if I could have gotten a good deal on a coral glow I would probably have one of them instead. It really doesn't make a difference to me.

I've also got Lessers that were originated by Ralph Davis. I don't think butters or lessers are any different but another monkey wrench thrown into the works is that I know of at least one other line of lesser that was an import and did NOT start with Ralphs original line.

As far as Calico or Sugar, I've seen more nice Sugars then I've seen nice Calicos but I suspect that has more to do with selective breeding rather then the acutal mutation. I'm really not particularily interested in the looks of that mutation but I do like some of the combinations and I'll probably end up picking whichever one strikes my fancy if I should see one at a show.

Another that I plan on adding someday is either a mystic or a phantom. Again I'll probably get whichever one strikes my fancy at the time. I tend to be more concerned with the looks of the individual rather than which line it's from.
