    Do I need to worry about what kind of stain?

    Building a Bailey-style rack, where PVC is forming the lids of the tubs (see link below). Wood is only used for the framing. I'd like to stain the wood, and I think it shouldn't matter what kind of stain I use since it's not directly in contact with the snakes (which is the whole point of PVC "lids"). Is this a fair assessment?
