I have all ball pythons but my girlfriend has had a Spotted python for awhile now and she has been talking forever about wanting to start her own little project and breed her spotted female ... So due to Christmas so close I got a genius last minute idea ... Why don't I get her a male!! LOL (should have thought of this month's ago) anyways .....

I have found a granite spotted male for sale in the area but would like some input from some members who have messed around with (Antaresia maculosa) .... And also what is the variation of color or pattern that is possible from such a pairing? I am clueless when it comes to these tiny python counterparts ... Thanks!

I did some looking at it seems like granite is a recessive gene - meaning if she breeds a granite to a normal, she will get babies that are normal 100% het for the granite gene. I don't believe there is a super form of the granite, at least of the known lines.

There are quite a few different morphs out there - more than I knew about!

I found a post from 2012 that had a picture of a patternless granite which the post also said is suppoused to be the super form of the granite gene .... I am having a hard time finding recent information on them ... Everything is from back around 2010 to 2013
