    Help with new setup.

I built this new enclosure and I'm just wondering my different options for ambient heat. I was thinking about doing a small pot light on the top built into small box with a metal grate over it. Any suggestions? I'm on a budget so that is limiting me.

I hate putting a heat light inside, but you you guys think this would be safe? It is up pretty high so I don't think he will mess with it.

I used to have bigger display cages for my boas. The thing that worked bestfor me was a mounted Che with a screen box surrounding it. I built the screen box and attached it using a staple gun.

You never had issues with them getting burnt on it? That is my main worry. Guy it's not like he can get up on it and lay on it so I should be good. I do like your idea of a box around it. I might have to make some changes. Lol

No, never had an issue. There was enough spacein between the Che and screen. So the screen never got hot enough to the touch.

Ok so I set it up and got everything going. Well, I didn't even think about it but the heat light from the bottom enclosure is causing the top enclosure to spike in temps! Ugh! This is so frustrating!
