Check wires, probe sensors and overall stability.

Just now while doing my daily cleanup and assessment of the reptile room I was moving things around. I pulled my rack forward maybe 4 inches to get some bedding that fell. As I moved the rack forward a water bottle fell down. Not thinking anything of it I picked it up and moved racks back. Within 5 minutes I noticed my temperature on my sensor said 68. As the water bottle fell it ripped the probe out of 3 layers of aluminum foil tape and knocked it to the ground. If I wasn't in the room when this happened my snakes would have been cooked to death. Needless to say everything in the room has been reorganized reinforced and checked for stability. This can happen to anyone so I figured I would post. Yes I made mistakes like all humans do. 1 misplaced water bottle and 1 probe not being secured enough almost cost my snakes their lives. Everyone is fine because I was able to catch this but figured I would make this post. Check your wires. Check your connections. Remove all clutter near outlets and make sure your wire routing is secured. I used to be an electrician and I've built many a house and computer. This is by no means a rookie who's never laid cable. Well figured I would post this. Maybe everyone should double check everything. I know after this incident I am building supports insulating cables and mounting them as if it was for a house being checked by a building inspector. Have a good one everyone.
