    bumblebee wont eat

Hello. I have a baby bumbleebee ball python. The temperature and humidity are good with the hot side around 90 and humidity stays around 55. She only weighs 55 grams and i can nit get her to eat. I tried live mice. Frozen. Should i try rats? Has anyone had a snake that would onky eat rats not mice? None of my snakes have never refused food before so im worried. She seems does seem hungry because she comes out of her cave and is all over the cage for 2 hours. She is in a 20 gallon long tank with 3 hides and a water bowl. So it is not to open but i do have a smaller cage (15 gallon) if this is the reason she is not eating. Today i put a frozen thawed fuzzy in her cage and she seems like she is some what interested in it because she put her nose up to it and kept looking at it like she wanted to eat.

This helped me with my blind ball python, I have it bookmarked! I'm sure it's easily findable. http://jkrballstreetjournal.com/2014...-eating-again/

Have you talked to the breeder?

Here is a tip since this animal is so small

Animal that size are generally kept in a quarts tub.

Get a 6 quart tubs, provide aspen as bedding, provide a hot spot of 86/88 (no higher) use a plastic flower pot saucer as hide (6 inches), leave the animal alone for a week NO HANDLING, offer a live mouse hopper in the enclosure (open the tub drop the hopper and leave it alone)

In mot cases with BP that size it is husbandry related.

This animal was started by the breeder correct?

    Re: bumblebee wont eat

I just switched her to the 15 gallon and it is pretty cramped in there so hopefully she feels more secure. I ordered her only so breeder does not know the exact one they sent to me
