Quick Breeding Question

Hey I just have a quick question for all the breeders.. do you guys leave the females hides in or do you take them out when pairing the 2 snakes? Seems like they may not breed if the hides are kept in but i'm not completely sure.

I take them out (and have successful locks without them), but I've heard both ways working.

I take them out so that the girls can't hide from the boys.

haven't been using hides ever since, got no problems with getting locks so far.
