The new hide I got for Kitty is an aquarium peice that is a lot like this one, but not the same

I know it is tall, but I have packed the top of the jars with moss and have plants hanging over and around it. Is it an ok choice, I know it is wide enough at the bottom to fitt Kitty as I have seen him in it, part of the reason I got it was that it was sturdy and wouldn't fall on him were he to climb in and around it, which he does. I just want to make sure it is good for him, i also figured that it would make for good humidity, with the moss and all. Opinions?

As long as you're sure it's sturdy and can't possibly fall over on him, it's probably ok. I've considered some of the larger more unique fish ornaments for hides myself. (I stil think the mayan like statue of 2 heads is pretty cool.) I was concerned about it fa lling over, so I never picked up.
I would also be concerned about Kitty being able to knock it over when climbing on it.

I know it won't fall, that was one of my major concerns so I went around the store putting peices on the floor and putting a liitle pressure here a little pull there and if they were not sturdy enough I put them back. I am sure people thought I was odd. This one has a very wide base, is not top heavy, and has no parts stiicking out wider than the base so I don't think that will be a problem.

does it have an open bottom? I have a couple of vases as hides for Bones... Let me tell ya, it can be a real pain getting him out when he doesnt want to be out.
