My new 8 ball yawned about 10 times yesterday within a hour of observing him. I knew he was ready to shed and he kept pressing his nose on things in the enclosure. I fed him and he ate no problem. I woke up this morning and he shed and defecated. Later tonight I moved him to take out the shed it and spot clean and heard no noises, bubbles, or wheezing. I put him back in his enclosure and after a few tounge flicks yawned twice very wide. I thought maybe the initial frequent yawning last night was to loosen the shed on his face but he did twice tonight again. Temps are 82 cool, 94 warm and 83/84 ambient. Shed was perfect and humidity is ~60%. I've never had a RI with all the snakes I have had so not sure whats going on.
