    First feeding yay

Well the little high white pied gal I picked up at Petsmart on black Friday for $200 turned out to be a champ so far. She has been wandering around and destroying her cage the past 2 days so I figured lets try and feed her since my red tail boa does the same thing when shes hungry. I go down to my local reptile shop and pick up a little pinky/fuzzy mouse and drop it in her cage and bam she tagged it and curled it up. Funny thing is that the manager at Petsmart said she was a problem feeder and they got her to eat a frozen fuzzy on thanksgiving but had to assist feed her before that. Only thing I had to assist her on was putting the live pinky/fuzzy in her cage. Shes stilla tiny baby and when was eating it, she didn't kill it before she started swallowing so you could the pinky squeaking as she was swallowing it. Kind of pulled at the heartstrings a little but yet im happy also that Dot(her name cause of the one small black dot on her tail) ate her first meal for me after only two days. Now shes quiet again and in her warm hide.

Thanks. I was pretty excited except now she is hiding in her hide since she is full now and doesn't need to wander around

Thanks. Yes she seems pretty happy now. I figured she would be in her warm hide all night but since im a late owl I caught her out running around for a bit and then going into her cold hide and then poking her head out and sitting there. Wonder if the pinkie mouse I gave her was too small as I didn't even notice a bulge now. Whats the general consensus for feeding little ones like 6 weeks old? I looked at hoppers and those were way too big for her. The one I gave her was a large pinkie I'm guessing as all stores seem to call different sizes different name. The pinkie had fuzz on it and crawled around but no open eyes yet, so maybe it was fuzzy size? Ugh, so much easier to feed larger snakes as they can eat pretty much anything
