    Using PayPal?

So I wanted to know who here, if anyone, has used PayPal with a prepaid gift card. My parents don't use PayPal or let me use it but I've been eying some rare T's and the seller only uses PayPal so I was thinking about just loading some money on a Prepaid card.

You're free to do what you want, but I wouldn't want to be caught in a situation where something went wrong with the transaction - either with PayPal or with the sale. Trying to get help from your parents, especially since you're probably living under their roof, without having an "I told you so" conversation with them wouldn't be something I'd want to do. I'm sure you'd be able to find another seller that's willing to take a credit card number over the phone (which is exactly what prepaid cards are) that won't involve sneaking around your parents.

Someone with a PP account can set it up to act as a merchant processor, where buyers don't need a PP account to use a credit card to pay. I don't know if it works with a gift card though, or if you get the same protections with it as with a standard credit card.

Haha, I don't really need my parents permission, but they've just warned me about some stories where their friends got money taken from them using a credit card via Paypal. I don't think it would matter a gift card over credit card as they would work the same way. Is it any cost to the seller to set up a merchant account? If not, I'll ask them if they could do that.
