    Newbie breeding question.

This is my first year breeding balls, and I had a quick question about something I saw last night. So this particular project is with a normal x mahogany and this will be my fourth time pairing. 9/19, 10/24, 11/12, and now 11/27. Pairing was for three days then a break. But after observation leading up to last night my female had started to get very bright, mild lumping, bowl wrapping, and constantly going from hot to cold. So I figured I had a preggo girl on my hands, but I introduced again last night and she started wagging her tail vigorously and her vent was popped out. Looked like she was being popped, but doing it by herself. Could anyone tell me what that means? I've tried looking some stuff up but couldn't find out why her vent looked like that. Thank you for your help in advance!

Sounds more like she was building. Is she still eating?

    Re: Newbie breeding question.

What you are explaining sounds like she was scenting her tub to me. Some eat all they way up to laying but most don't. I would check for ovulation. And if you can palpate that is a great tool in leading up to and after ovulation. After they ovulate she will hug the heat side almost all the time. The easiest way for me to tell if ovulating is the tail suck. Watch a video on it. If I were u I would just keep pairing cause right now sounds like she is just building. Hold her up and let the rest of her body hang down and a lot of time u can see the follicles or egg . Keep pairing and good luck. Post some pics
