    BP "spitting up" and Benebac

I saw on an earlier post recommendations to add this to the water of a snake that was regurging/vomiting. We're having some issues with one of our BPs and I'm wondering if anyone can offer a mix ratio if I'm adding it to the water?

    Thanks!

I've never put it in the water. Since I feed f/t I sprinkle a pinch of it onto a damp feeder.

Have you ID'ed the cause for the regurges?

I made it thick and then put it in a syringe with a pipette tip, put it in the back of the throat.

Then, even if they spit out the bulk of it, there's still some that lingers attached to the throat tissue.

How about figuring out what the cause is first

Thanks, Kaitala. I saw in another thread about just adding it to the water and I thought that would be less stressful for her.

Pit, we're really not sure why, but we aren't ignoring looking for a cause. She hasn't lost any weight as of yet and since she only vomited once and since then has spit her food out once and struck but not eaten twice. We're trying live feeding next, but a probiotic isn't contraindicated and certainly won't hurt.

What did you do? Did the live food do the trick?

    BP "spitting up" and Benebac

She ended up eating f/t. My fiancé went to the only store around us that carries live feeders and they were out. Before we went much further afield, he decided to try f/t again. She immediately went for it.

He thinks maybe he startled her the first time and was extra careful this time to not do anything to put her off.

I like my other snakes, but she's my baby!
