So, I had a normal sold to me as a female and my friend had a spider male, this was going to be our first breeding project (as my morph isn't breeding age/size yet). I put them together Monday and BOOM! BP brawl! I was confused and removed my friend's male. Spent some time doing additional research. Well...just came back from the vet to get my snakes all confirmed sex-wise...and my breeding female...is a BOY!So, I guess I'm changing focus to my reduced pattern normal (confirmed female, and the reason why the boys were fighting, she was in the rack above) to get an extra 200 grams on her to breed in the future (she's 3.5 years and 1316 grams).
Lesson learned..always re-check your snakes' sex prior to breeding. I'm impressed that as many times as Kismet and Persephone have traveled in a basket together, I've never had a lock! Good to know!![]()
