Have a ball python, do I need to quarantine a new gecko??

Hey guys, I have a new little friend...more on that later . Just wondering if I need to quarantine the new little guy. He is a leopard gecko and I am not sure if anything is likely to be passed from him to a snake. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Thanks!

I would guess the risk of cross species transmission of any disease from one species to another is fairly low. I wouldn't worry about it. But I totally could be wrong.

As of right now I have the gecko in the living room and Shesha is in the bedroom, so they are separated but my concern is that when I handle Shesha I usually sit in the living room. Should it be alright to have Shesha in the same room briefly provided I am not touching the other tank or the gecko (As in like sitting five feet away and only handling Shesha). Are airborne illnesses a concern here?
