    Question about champagnes.

I'm wondering if Champagnes grow into their "pied patches" or if they're born with them. My champ doesn't have one and neither did his brother (as hatchlings), but their dad does. Are they born with them or do they grow into them ? Also, are they genetic or random like paradoxes?

    Re: Question about champagnes.

I don't personally own a Champagne, so I could be incorrect but I don't think Champagnes have pied patches. Champagne combos do lke Fire Champagnes etc.

Sometimes champagnes are born with "ringers" which are white patches. You will see them as soon as they hatch. They don't appear over time.

    Re: Question about champagnes.

My champ is a pastel pin champ, his brother is a pastel champ. and the dad's a pastel champ pin. I think you're right, I've only seen it on pastel champs and such.

Ringers can appear in regular champs. It seems that most are random but there can be a genetic component to them. I'm working on this line which has given me some good results.
