Well I've been having some touble getting Link to eat. I gave him altogether a week to adjust and tried to feed him again today. He didn't eat. So I left the mouse in his cage over night and I woke up at two and looked in his cage and there was no mouse. Takes care of that!
Now that he knows that a mouse is food maybe I won't have so much trouble getting him to eat now!

As I said in the pm I just sent to ya, congrats! I'm sure it'll be easier to get him to eat next time. Maybe he's just one of those bp's that has to be left alone so he feels secure while he eats.

Guess I got lucky. Pelota doesn't seem to care what goes on when she's eating. It's like as soon as she gets a whiff of that mousie, she's in her own little world. On feeding night, I usually have all the lights on in my room, and everyone huddled around the tank to watch her chow down. Doesn't seem like she minds. She's a cute little show off.

LOL! Link's the opposite. I had to tell my brothers and sisters to leave while I tried to feed him the first time and even that didn't help. Well at least I know how he likes to eat now, but its going to make taking pics of it incretible hard.

Later down the road when he gets older and more used to you and his surroundings, he might not need to be left totally alone like that. You never know.

My corn snake is exactly the same way. He wont have anything to do with his food while there is someone there watching him. So, I have to place his food with him. and then I have to leave the room and give hime time to eat. And my corn snake is almost 2 years old. But my BP doesn't care who watches. I could have a room full of on lookers and he would still eat like there was no one in the room. But congrats on finding out how he likes to eat, and getting him to eat.

I think it's most common for them to settle down and not mind, but I leave mine alone while they eat anyway, since they all eat frozen-thawed without the mousey dance nowadays.
