What's going on here?
Every night when I look over my snake is trying to escape! Ok maybe not really, but shes always wrapped around her thermometer and pushing on her lid. Once spotted doing it, she goes back under the hide log. Any ideas of why? Am I not keeping it warm enough at night? The tank stays 80-85 at the hottest spot. During the day she hardly comes out but at night this is what she does.https://fbcdn-photos-d-a.akamaihd.ne...95b14d36cfa128 Sorry this tapatalk app wont let me upload pics. . .

You should raise the hotspot to ~90F and keep the ambient around ~80F. I don't know why she does that, maybe just something she likes doing? Do you notice her move to a hide when you turn a light on or do you think it is when she see's you? I think it may be the act of turning on a light or movement that prompts her to move, not just the sight if ya. They are more active at night so that will explain why she only does it in the evenings.

I would start by getting a thermometer that works and is accurate.
Other than that, normal behavior.

I had one of them at first but got a different one. But I think that was awesome that ur bp can do that. Mine keep falling off.

Do I spy snake carpet in that photo? We use it for our bearded dragon, does that work well for BPs?
Pretty much what everyone else is saying; go a little warmer for your hot spot, but otherwise it doesn't sound out of the ordinary. I don't think escape attempts mean the snake is particularly unhappy, as everyone I've known who had a snake (of any kind) has dealt with it at some point or another. They just like to explore.

Preciousess is always hanging on stuff, inc the backup thermometer, fake plants, and almost stands in her tail to explore the lid

Every morning I find one or more of the fake vines on the bottom of the cage instead of suction-cupped onto the glass. Last night I found out why. My snake has been attempting to climb the vines and the suction cups can't hold the weight.
Im just throwing around my opinions. Im trying to give as much help as I've received on this website
1.0 Ball Python
2.0 Red Clawed Scorpion
(1.0 means Male right?)
