Early this year I was at Repticon and noticed a gorgeous sub adult firefly female for a decent price ($500). I made a beeline for her and just reached the table in time to watch the seller take her out and hand her to someone else. Im not ashamed to admit I hung around for the entire transaction hoping the buyer would change his mind. In the end, he bought her and even walked away with her out of the bag so I could watch her go.
Fast forward to last week and Im wasting time on craigslist. Who do I see but the same firefly....for $100 cheaper. I immediately emailed the guy. It was the same firefly girl and the same guy who bought her at the repticon earlier. Turns out hes moving out of the country and selling off the last of his collection. Long story short she is now relaxing in a quarantine tub. She looks just as good as she did at the show and is sitting at about 1400g. I guess she was just meant to live with me!
