    Female ball tries to escape.

My girl spends about half her day trying to find a crack to escape, I think she's stressed and it's effecting her eating habits. My problem is, I can't figure out why she's stressed. I've had her for 6 months, sporadic feeder. She's 1860 grams, lives in a 28qt tub with a 90 degree hotspot, the ambient room temp is 73-79. She does use her hotspot and bask on her cool side, sometimes wrapping the water bowl. If I open the tub she comes straight out and checks around, sometimes she goes back in her tub sometimes she tries to go between the tubs or behind the rack.

Is it possible that her tub may be too small? Most people have moved their females of that size into 41qt tubs

She doesn't seem crammed at all, she takes up maybe 1/6th of the tub curled up in a ball.

First thought is too small of a tub and my second is: How and where are you measuring your temperature?

Re: Female ball tries to escape.

iris 28qt tub, 24x18. She should be good in there 'till like 2000-2300 shouldn't she ? I'm putting her in the adult rack when I get it, early December. I measure my temperatures right on the plastic on the hotspot, with an IR temp gun. Substrate is paper towel, two sheets overlapping half way. I've also tried a hide, she uses it but no more then she uses the hotspot when there's no hide.
