thermostat noise

While waiting for our Animal Plastics T8, I am still deciding which thermostat to buy. I currently use hydrofarms and can't stand the constant clicking sound they make when they turn on and off. Do the herpstat 2 and the Vivarium Electronics VE-300X2 make any noises while adjusting the temperature? I assume they do not since they are proportional. Is this correct?

I have a viv electronic and it only ever makes noise if I do a big temp change of like 10 degrees to drop temps at night ( experimenting with night drops this season)Otherwise it doesn't make a sound.

I just got the herpstat 2 and haven't heard a peep out of it. Only made noise when I was pressing the buttons to set it up.

I have three Herpstats and they're all completely silent.

The click you hear will happen with ANY on/off thermostat, its the relay either opening or closing.
Proportional thermostats don't make any noise.
