    Hides and Breeding?

I feel dumb asking this but as a first year attempted breeder I'm sure I will have plenty of dumb questions. My lesser female has always had two hides, I have taken them out before and she quit eating, when I put them back in she went back to normal. My question is, Do you think it will affect her if I take them out when I start pairing them or should I just leave them in???

    Thanks in advance-Jordan

Hides will get in the way, you want your snakes to get close together

If she hides from the male he will have a hard time getting the job done.

Just remove the hides when pairing and if you feel that she needs them put them back when you separate them

My animals behave similarly, when removing the hide they eat less, as yours. But when breeding I do remove the hide so that I can see locks without having to move the hide and possibly disturb them and they seem to be just fine with it.

Thanks for the post! I was pondering this exact question over the last month or so.

I love it when a thread answers a question that I didn't even know I had. It makes good sense though. Thanks!
