    Handling Questions

Ok, so as some of you know, I got my first ball python on the eleventh. I just had a few questions regarding handling her. First off, I fed her yesterday at about 11-11:30 pm (surprisingly satisfying to know that she was comfortable enough to eat, especially since she's only had live prey before now). When am I able to handle her? I was thinking tomorrow would be better (let me know if I'm wrong), but I'm dying to take her out and I wanted to know if today would be ok or not. Another thing is whether I can move the hide to get her out. I don't want to stress her, but it's not as if she's out of the hide much, haha. I thought I knew all of this before I got Onyx, but of course it all flew out of my head. Thanks in advance!

I know you want to hold it. However don't rush things. If I were you I would wait a few more days, to really give her time to digest. As well as settle in. Also moving the hide to get her out should not hurt anything.

Yeah, I'm trying not to rush things, which is why I asked here. Thanks for the advice!

I generally wait two days after feeding, sometimes just one, depending on the snake. 99% of the time mine are under their hides, so if I wish to hold them I do have to take the hides off, and that is perfectly fine...enjoy your snake

Ok, thank you! Definitely enjoying her, never been this obsessed over a pet, haha.
