of course bp #5 would be shy/nervous and it would effect feeding. its frustrating ha.everyone else is voracious when it comes to food. she's about 100g have her in a 10gallon. temps are fine and took a live mouse hopper 3 days ago but turned down an f/t hopper just now. i'm more than likely going to move her to a small tub to eliminate all possible stress factors and go from there. left it in with her for now and blocked off all sides of the tank. any more suggestions??

I had purchased a young Pastel a while back that was eating live. It took about 4 weeks for her to take a F/T. Once she did she was my best feeder.

Take it slow and I would say getting her into a tub would only help and not hinder the situation.

Feeding every three days is too often, shoot for every five. It takes about two days to fully digest and defecate and they don't get "hungry" per say. They are opportunistic feeders, but they can go a really, really long time without eating. It's quite crazy actually.

Also does she have two hides? And has she shed recently? There are many many factors that can lead to her not eating. The mouse could be too cold, too warm, the fact that it's already dead could be putting her off, he may not want to eat, she could be stressed or shedding, she might just have to poop. But be patient and don't offer too often. Hope this helped

Yes cut back on the feeding. A smaller tub will work wonders, as mentioned above.

First of all snakes do NOT have to be kept in a tub. Second, only feed every five days at most...three days is too often!!!!!

3 days is too often for a hatchling? my 2 mojaves have been on a twice a week schedule and eat like hogs, they were both in the 100g range in august, ones 300g and now on a 7 day feeding schedule and the other is right behind and one feeding away from getting put on a 7 day. i know they all aren't the same so that may be the issue as well i might switch her over to a 5 day schedule. she does have two hides and the tanks back and a side is covered, she shed the day before i fed her last so four days ago. im going to try again in 5 days and if she takes i will be happy but if not i will chock it up to being insecure and get her into something smaller. being she took live last time should i try that again? i'm not past feeding her live, i just want her to eat, but i learned to be patient after my 800g boy didnt eat for 3 1/2 weeks lol

got her to take her second rat fuzzy with me , at least she is eating now oh and i will share that one of my boys ate for the first time in a month and i'm very excited about it ha
