    Need help with popping....

Despite watching EVERY YouTube video on sexing ball pythons by popping, I have not been successful performing it on my new clutch. I'm not sure if I'm being too gentle, or if it's because they are really small snakes and I have really big hands, or what... So I was wondering if there was someone local to me (South Jersey, about 15 min from Philly) who would be willing to show me how to do it on my clutch. I will come to you and bring my snakes (its only 4 hatchlings) and I even have an idea on how to compensate you for your time (we will discuss that later...). If anyone is interested in helping a guy out shoot me a PM and I will be eternally grateful.

    Thanks in advance!!!

I seem to be having some trouble myself but I'm central Jersey. I decided I will try again once they shed out. My rodent breeder is in South Jersey so later today I will reach out and see if they know anyone that might be able to help. I'll PM if I find anything out.

Best to find someone to help you.
Hatchlings are the easiest to pop if you get it right.

Make sure your applying enough pressure by vent or its all pointless!

Press down firmly, Grap tail and i often will pull back to relax it, so it looks like a upsidedown U i guess? Then i grab and not push but roll (like toothpaste almost) But again it all matters on your hand applying pressure at the vent! Do 2-3 times (then switch if no avail, OR hey maybe ur oddgods hit and they all females )

Thanks Corbin...I'm gonna try again, but I would still really like to learn from someone who is more experienced than me. If anyone wants to lend a hand just PM me. Thanks!!!!!!

    Re: Need help with popping....

Honestly if you aren't comfortable doing it don't try because you can potentially hurt the animal. I'll see if I can post a video as a how too.

Thanks much and it is a good video. The issue I am having is that they are hatchlings so I am having a bit of problem telling the differance. I have popped larger snakes easy enough.
