What to breed with my female

Just picked up my female and wanna start planning to get a male next year so they are at breeding size around same time. My female is a toffino and I was thinking about getting a het toffee or a toffee depending on prices when I goto buy only problem is I would have to hold them all back and see how they color up before I know what's what. Any ideas on other possibilities? Maybe pattern or something. And I know I got plenty of time to figure it out just thought I'd ask see what you guys think

You just spent the money on a female toffino which was worth more than a male toffino. What you want to do is get a male that is worth at least as much as the female. Otherwise you are not getting your money's worth out of the toffino female. This is because a male can sire four clutches when a female is limited to one.

I REALLY hope that made sense, I reworded it like eighty times. I was trying to make the distinction between money and worth.

    So...

I would look for at least a toffino then add pattern as you are interested in. Most patterns are dominant, I would stick to one of these so that you will see it in the first generation. Or to REALLY get your money's worth of the the male go for a toffino spinner. This way the entire clutch will come out with altered patterning.

Re: What to breed with my female

Yes not looking for a cheap male just to breed, and also I would love to get something I can produce immediately as I probably won't be holding on to any babies (unless I can convince the wife to let me lol) the toffino spinner is great idea thx!!
