Now that i have my baby, i was wondering, when will i be able to introdce him to Pandora?? not to start breeding, but will the ever be able to interact with each other before then? i have a good 1 1/2-2 years to wait before i can even think about breeding either of them.

i let pandora see apollo from a higher view today. when i got her out, i opened his sterilite and she looked down. it was so cute, they both flicked their tongues at each other as if saying "Yo!!!"

apollo wont be coming out of his home now for a good week or so, cuz i dont wanna stress him out. but anytime after then, would if be ok to let them be friends??

i don't see a problem with that i have seen a baby kenyan boa play with a 2 month old bp. man that was funny. but as long as they don't look too stressed out and territorial tan i guess it would be no problem. but that is just my opinion.

Can most species do that, or was it a special occasion with the boa and BP? Mightn't one like attack the other or something like that?

You really ought to keep the new guy quarantined for at least 30 days (90 would be better) before you consider introducing them. If he makes it through that and the vet checkup okay, no reason not to let them scamper about in the daisies together.

what about possibly housing them together? Would that cause any serious problems as long as the space was large enough, and there were no signs of territorial/stress issues

Apparently my BP is a vegetarian now.

Theres a thread on that exact subject, Jase. But for a quick answer, the general consent is no, don't keep two snakes together. Too many complications like figuring out who had the bowel movement, feeding, stress, mites or disease, etc.

    New hog finally shed

If you're going to house a ball python with another animal, I definitely think that animal should be another ball python. Many people have housed ball pythons together without trouble, but the most prudent thing to do is give each animal its own enclosure, for the reasons discussed in the thread Cody linked.

You can go ahead and get him the appt now. It'll give you some time to clear anything up durin his quarantine period.

Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.
