In all seriousness: thick vs long
As i weighed my big normal girl today i was really surprised at her girthiness. Ive wondered for a while now how many eggs she would lay this season. Shes nearly doubled in size to 3100+ since her post-lay weight 2 seasons ago. But ive noticed shes not as long as a 3100g snake would be expected to be. With that being said am i correct in assuming the obvious: that a longer snake can throw more eggs? Ive tried to get a good picture of her size but i feel like the camera does her no justice, especially balled up like that.

Disclaimer. She did just take a big rat 2 days ago, but even when "empty" shes huge. I feed every 2 weeks

What is she, like 4 feet long ya think? They are all different in length and girth. I have a 1600+ gram one that's close to 4 feet long and 2 that are 1300 grams that are 3 feet and 3.5 feet long respectively. Ever see one of those pictures of 5-10 people standing next to each other that are the same weight but some look skinny and others look chunky because of their height? Similar idea applys here.
To your egg question, not sure if length has much to do with number of eggs. It's probably size in general, though I don't have experience breeding and going on what I've seen on the forums that a lot of the weighty girls pop out more eggs with few lengths listed.

Shes probably about 4.5 ft. Its not really a concern as shes never had any problems im just pondering. Bp breeding is all about sitting there waiting 99 percent of the time so you get alot of time to think about this stuff
Idk i hope for more than the 4 eggs she gave me the last 2 pairings (which were 2 years apart).

It's hard to say with your girl. But here is my personal experience: I have two het pied females. Both are within a month in age and both are within a few hundred grams of each other in weight and within a few inches of each other in length. One laid 6 good eggs, average size for a ball python and certainly a good sized clutch for her first clutch. The other female laid only 4 eggs. But they were twice the size. The babies hatched out at 90 grams +, and one female hatched at over 100 grams. They were HUGE in comparison to all my other babies. Since then, both have put on weight and length.
So, will the one female always have average sized eggs and average sized clutches? Will the second always have small clutches but huge eggs? Who knows?

Re: In all seriousness: thick vs long
I've also got a female thats pretty girthy but not very long at roughly 2400g and under 4ft, she laid 10 eggs last season and it will be interesting to see how many she lays this season. I have another female at 4ft and 1600g that laid 6 eggs last season. I think size does play a part in how many eggs you'll get but a small part. Genetics and age is likely a factor too.
