New car, new driver, first BAD scratch

So, I passed my test over 2 yeara ago. Haven't touched a car since. I'm from the UK so I drive a manual, these take a while to get used to, the bite of the clutch and the general feel of the car. In a multi story car park, paying too much attention to behind me, had the music too loud, and caugh a pillar... Badly.

Check out that bad boy! Very upset Luckily, I can get it fixed cheap, even better though, I have learnt two lessons. Remember the car swings out when reversing round a corner, and keep the music down!

Failure is probably the strongest learning experience. I am glad your education only involved a damage vehicle. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, thank god no one was hurt or I didn't hit another car. The damage will be fixed, my ego has taken a slight hit, but will recover haha! Lesson has been well and truly learnt in this case.

Hoefully, you didnt pay too much for the car. I remember my first car took a beating and a half...

£1100 for the car. Dad is a crash repair estimator for a garage so gets parts dirt cheap so the job to fix it is cheap too.

Re: New car, new driver, first BAD scratch

    That's perfect!

To be honest, my first accident was from my sound system being waay too loud too. I didnt hear an ambulance crossing the intersection (which is why all the traffic was stopped) and hit a car in front of me... It wasn't a big accident but I definitely learned. Lol. Be careful out there.
