    First baby out!

My first baby is out of the egg! 4 eggs left, one is very active and will probably be the next one.

I can see citrus pastel for sure, but not sure if it is also yellowbelly. Cross is citrus pastel yellowbelly and specter.

Hopefully pictures show up, I'm using tapatalk instead of my computer.

Very nice! The pattern is definitely funky, any belly pics since you are thinking yellowbelly?

Didn't take any belly pictures yet, but going to in the next day or two. Being that these are my first babies, I don't want to handle them too much and stress then out. Probably just worrying over nothing, but isn't that how it always goes? Lol

Here are some post shed pictures, with some belly pictures. If I popped the baby correctly, looks like a female. I'll try again when she's a little bigger.

I'm still trying to figure out of its just pastel, or a pastel yellowbelly. So if anyone has input (including what traits you see to make the determination, so I can learn too), speak up!

Do you have pictures of the parents? Based on the latest pictures you posted, I would say that there is something more than just Pastel at work in your hatchling, but I don't see the markings for Yellowbelly. Here are 2 pictures of my 2012 female Pastel Orangebelly from just after her first shed for comparison.

    Re: First baby out!

Pair was specter x citrus pastel yellow belly. Pictures below.

The other baby that hatched looks like a normal, maybe a specter. Here's a picture of it ready to shed (not a great picture, will get more after it sheds ). Other eggs didn't hatch. One died fairly early, the other 2 failed to absorb their yolk sac. Ask 3 looked like pastel or pastel combo.

So does any one have any idea what this baby is?
