Cleaning and disinfecting?
Would it be safe to use clorox cleanup wipes then rinse and let dry? Or even clorox wipes, dawn soap, rinse and let dry? I see you can buy "reptile wipes" and disinfectant spray. But is that really nessasary?

F10SC is cheaper in the long run, and chlorine products must be rinsed away very well before you can put your snake back into the enclosure.

Are you talking about for just spot cleans or for thorough cleaning? For spot cleans you can use a vinegar mix. For thorough cleaning you can use a bleach mix and just let it dry for a day.

Re: Cleaning and disinfecting?
I use dawn dish soap to clean my tubs, wipe it away with a wet paper towel put them back in with new paper towels once the tub has dried. Easy and I already have dawn soap in the kitchen that I use on the dishes. I'd love to use f10 because I've heard such great things about it but I just don't want to buy something extra when soap and water cleans just as good lol. Like how you can buy a shed aid for your snake when it's having a bad shed or just soak it in some water. I know f10 has to be great for a larger collection but having only a couple snakes just doesn't seem worth it. But that's just me. Nothing wrong with f10 at all, its a great product, relatively cheap but every penny counts in some situations lol.

Like bcr229 already said, you'll have to make sure you thoroughly rinse everything out. Personally, I use Healthy Habitat cleaner. It's not too expensive and cleans pretty well. I also don't have to worry about mixing anything or rinsing.

Thats what i was thinking. Im a bit of a germaphobe tho and was wondering about bacteria. I guess its good tho bc we eat off of what it cleans.

F10SC isn't really a cleanser, it's an antiseptic. The nice thing is that it keeps working for a while even after it dries.
For cleaning I just use mild dish soap when needed, and keep spare clean tubs handy to swap out with dirty ones.

Personally I would stay away from any bleach wipes. Hard to say what exactly might be in them and if it will leave any residue that could be harmful. I have used a diluted bleach solution to disinfect in the past, but proper rinsing is a must and also a pain.
Now I use dawn dish soap to clean and chlorhexadine to disinfect. I prefer to clean first and disinfect after, but thats because my healthcare infection control background wont let me do it any other way.
