New snake owner. i have a question.

Ok, so i have a rehostat for my UTH. Im using a seperate thermometer with a probe. Ontop of my heatpad, inside the tank, under the bedding, it is about 92 degrees. I moved my temp probe to ontop the substrate and now it reads about 89.2 degrees. Is this ok? Im really worried about my snake touching the glass and getting burned so i really dont want to raise the rehostat. Thank you for any help.

92 should be fine. You can probably lower it a couple of degrees so the glass is 90 if you want.

92*F on the glass is fine, though I'd suggest getting a thermostat ASAP, especially if your room's ambient temperature changes over the course of the day.

Hydrofarm brand thermostat on amazon. They are usually about 25 bucks shipped.

Buy the best tstat you can. Don't go cheap unless you have to. If you have to go for this one http://www.reptilebasics.com/ve-hobbystat , but Herpstat is still my first pick.
