I can't quite remember and don't really want to go look it up again. But for my bp's water should i be buying distilled water or will water out of the faucet be ok. I live in town if that helps any. Also she seems to be more twitcy then before. Just got done with a shed. Could that be it? Hungry? What do u guy think. Thanks

If you can drink your faucet water, so can your snake.

I wouldn't use the tap water if it's chlorinated, or filter it first. If you want to buy water, just get spring water, or find someone with a well.

My tap water is hard as a rock (lime) and the water softener makes it taste nasty. I run tap water for drinking through a filter for me, my snakes, and my dogs.

If you can drink the tap water, so can your BP. If that's not an option, maybe bottled water, but I don't think I would use distilled.

Sure, she could be a little more active after a shed. As for if she's hungry, when did you last feed her and how big is she?

Don't use distilled water. Distilled water is not good for your snake, and can cause damage over time. It contains nothing but water molecules and the lack of salts, minerals and other dissolved components can cause issues for your snake trying to process it.

If you're worried about chlorine, leaving a bottle/bucket/container of water out for a night with an open top will almost always let enough chlorine dissipate out to be usable.

She is around 22 inches long and about 1.5-2 in. in diameter. Have no scale so don't know of weight but I would guess around 1lbs. at most don't know what that is in gram. She ant a week and a day ago.

I use a Brita filter for all my snake's water as well as for making coffee, etc. Probably nothing wrong with the tap water, but I thought filtering it would be best.

I was thinking about doing the same. Wasnt sure it was safe though.

As 200xth said, tap water is fine, and distilled water can actually cause problems with leeching out of trace minerals etc from your pets. Tap water is fine, and leaving out a bucket or jug overnight to let the chlorine evaporate (if you don't filter your water) should eliminate the biggest issue.

Or you can treat the water like you would for fish - water treatment drops are fairly inexpensive.
