    Question Pairing Opinions?

Hey all, I recently picked up a beautiful reduced pinstripe female, and I can't decide whether to pair her with my spider or mojave male. I like the possible outcome of both pairings.

    Your thoughts?

Why not both? If you'll be happy with either result, pair her with both males and have a "who's your daddy" clutch!

My thoughts exactly could even get a dual sired if your lucky, best of both words.

I would do both! If I had to choose, Mojave all the way. Jigsaws are AMAZING.

Thanks for the input guys! I think I'll pair her with the Mojave this season. Jigsaws are pretty sweet :-)

Nothing wrong with a dual-sired clutch. You could end up with both a jigsaw and a spinner.

What magic is this!? I've never heard such a thing, is that really possible?

Females lay multiple eggs. While each egg can be fertilized by only one sperm, if there are multiple sires then either sire could be the father of a particular egg.

So, you have a pinstripe female and two potential sires: a mojave and a spider. On alternating weeks you put a different male into the female's tub. One male may sire some of the eggs, the other male the rest of the eggs.

Of course, you don't want to do this where one male is a visual recessive and the other isn't, as you wouldn't know which babies were hets and which were not. For doms/codoms you can play the "who's your daddy" game.
