are there any articles on the genetics of ball pythons out there?

Do you want to learn the principles of genetics, which apply to ball pythons, mice, corn, etc? Then there is a sticky in this forum and others around the web.
Or do you understand the principles and want a list of the ball python's mutant genes? Then

more so something that is more than the basics such as possible heritable traits, sex linkage and such

There are a variety of other threads about genetic defects in ball pythons, too.
As far as I know, nobody has turned up any cases of sex linkage or linkage in ball pythons.
There are a couple of books available --
Kevin McCurley, The complete ball python
John Berry, Designer morphs
I have not gotten my hands on either one because they are rather expensive.
