Is this "normal"?

So I posted awhile back that I got a snow corn, who had issues which his tail. I was able to fix this by getting a good shed out of him and all is well.

However, when I take him out for handling time (2-3x a week) when he roams around or right after I set him back in his home, he starts slithering around with his tail straight in the air and shakes it around like a rattler!

While I find it highly entertaining, is it normal? I don't know as much about colubrids, and my bp does not do this

He eats like a pic, had a perfect shed about a week ago as well as all his Temps are accurate. Is he just weird or should I be worried?

The rattling is 'normal' so to speak. It's a defensive display. In the wild, the tail rattling against the leaves of the forest floor helps me mimic a rattlesnake in order to scare off predators.

Mine rattles whenever she is eating a meal and I so much as look at her... I'd say normal lol.
