Greetings!

First time poster.
I've a few questions I was hoping you all can answer for me.

So I have had my BP for about 8 years (I had a Burmese for almost 4 years before the BP, had to give her away). After reading a few threads my feeding habits do not seem to be the same as everyone else, and I would like some advice.

Regular Enclosure:
100 Gal Fishtank with a custom screen made for the top. 4'long
I sectioned off with plexiglass and silicone about 4" deep 14" wide and keep it filled with with water. On the other side of the substrate I keep the zoomed eco dirt and have a couple plant's growing.
Ceramic Heater above the tank, Daylight Bulb, and a UV light at night.

I've been feeding him one - two times month (depending on his hunting patterns in his tank), 7-8 Large Mice - he can probably go to rats but he only eats live and I'd rather not risk him being bitten and the affection, tried frozen he wouldn't have it.
Always fed in a separate container.

His sheds are almost always whole, he has healthy bowl movements, I think he looks pretty healthy (unable to see bones, still pretty strong - all muscle, and not "fat" like he is overfed)

Only time he has bitten me was when he mistook my hand for a mouse while he was in his feeding tank.

I admit I fail to handle him nearly as often as I should, and wish I had more time for him, but he seems pretty content.

Am I doing a bad job?
Any tips?
