I was wonderin, my ball python is having a hard time shedding his skin i dont know why i keep the humidity at 65% and once i saw her eyes turn pale i raised it up to 70%. Peices have shed its just not a whole i think it be because i dont have really any sharp objects in the tank or its because of the husbandry of the pet store my dad bought it from(1st shed in my care)

    shedding ques?

The first shed of your bp has more to do with the previous husbandry than yours. As long as it all comes off, i wouldnt think too much about it unless your husbandry is off ( but it sounds like you have it right on the money ).

When I got my BP her first shed was awful. It was all over her, coming off in little pieces. But after a few weeks she shed again, perfect. All in one piece. Usually they will make due with what ever is in their tank. Sometimes using the sides of the tank. I have one relly cool looking rock in each tank. They are for the snakes to "rub" on. You can get them outside just disenffect them. Also, I;m not sure but I think that 65% humidity is a little too high. More like 50-60%. I don't know if 5% is a big deal.

Nah, I don't think 65% is a big deal. As long as it isn't up to like 70's+ for long periods of time, it should be fine.

And as for the shed being in pieces, don't worry. As long as the shed all came off, it's fine. Atleast there isn't any stuck pieces you have to worry about right? The first shed I had with Pelota was the same. She shed in her hide(dunno if this is a common thing) so I dunno how she shed it in her little hide like that, lol. It all came off fine, but I think since she shed it in her hide, it broke up in pieces as she was moving around. I found it in decent sized chunks, so I think she shed it full, then it got tore up with her moving afterwards, lol.

Oh, and I have a rough palm-sized lava rock thingy I put in the corner of the cage when she's in shed. Dunno if that's what she used for her first shed with me, but she got it off somehow, so she must have used something to rub against.
