Enclosure size??
How big should an aquarium be for an adult BP? I know BP's don't get huge and I have a 30 gal. tank right now and he is almost two years old. Will this tank be large enough when he's an adult, or will I have to get a larger one?

Since you have to upgrade anyway get a proper reptile enclosure, not an aquarium or tank. A 36"x18" or 36"x24" from Animal Plastics, BoaMaster, or ConstrictorsNW would be fine.

Do I need to do that? The aquarium works perfectly fine. Humidity and heat stay where they're supposed to. He seems fairly happy in his enclosure at the moment. I just want to know if a 30 gal. is big enough for a full grown BP.

Well I keep my adult male in a 20 Long, and he is doing fine. The only time I have ever used anything bigger was for a huge female I used to have, and I had her in a 40 breeder, and she did fine. People like to toss around the idea that you can't keep snakes in a glass tank, but I have been doing it successfully since the mid 90's

I personally keep my adult male in a 40 gallon breeder and he does fine. I think they are the perfect size for them. However, large glass tanks are a huge pain in the butt to move if you move elsewhere and are less, well compatible with other things. I plan on getting an animal plastics T8 for my juvenile, and I could definitely recommend them. Basically, you may have better luck with a T8 from animal plastics with less hassle than a glass aquarium.

Re: Enclosure size??
Kind of a general rule for tanks I've heard: snake length = roughly the length + width of tank.
i had success using a tank while mine was young but upgraded to a PVC cage when she outgrew it. I will say the AP cage has made husbandry a whole lot easier.
Good luck
