Corns and Balls In the same rack?

I am thinking about building a rack and getting some corns and balls. I was curious to know if I could set my thermostat at a certain temp and both Herps will be okay with it? They won't be in the same tub just the same rack. My rack is gonna has 4-5 shelves.

I don't know but if the corns and balls have to have different temps and humidity I wouldn't do it. Never had a corn tho so I don't know what they require.

If you keep the warm side at 88 it will be overkilled for a corn, if if you intend to breed the female corn will slug out.

Ideally for corn I would not recommend a hit spot over 83/84

Some people have kept both in the same rack I just don't like those high temps for colubrids such as corn, milk or ratsnakes.

My corn and king are in the same room as my bp, but not the same rack (not that I use racks - not the same thermostat, either). The 78-80 ambient they do fine with, but a 90 hot spot would be massively too hot. I'd almost rather give them no hotspot at all and just keep them at the ambient (mine don't have much gradient anyway, hotspot is only 85 max, usually 83)

I keep my kingsnake about 10 degrees or so cooler than my balls. I have a cali king, and have been told they are comfortable in with a bit higher temps, seeing how it does get quite warm at times in the western desert areas, but my king seems ok being a bit cooler though

So you're thinking like a shelving unit that you will convert into a rack with individual heat panels for each shelf? Then you would have a shelf just for the Corns? I think that would work. I can't find anything online or in my books that would make me think otherwise.

The only way I would do it, is as mentioned above independently wired heat tape and two t-stat, which in this case you are really better of with two racks anyway.

And 32 qt tubs would be REALLY tight for an adult corn.
