Old injury/ burn ?
So as I posted yesterday, I got a little snow corn. I noticed while he was moving about his tank that he had a black "dot" on the tip of his tail, which concerned me so I took him out for a quick second to snap a pic to help identify the issue.
It looks like either an old burn, or like the tip of the tail was chopped off? I thought I was just seeing things yesterday when I got him home and settled in but after examining him, it's one or the other.
The previous owner didn't have the UTH on a thermostat so it being a burn could be an option, however it is on the tip of the tail, which is kind of an odd place for a burn?
If anyone knows how I can go about treating this, I would appreciate the help!

Re: Old injury/ burn ?
Could have had stuck shed on the end of the tail, causing it to die (hence the black tissue). If that's the case, just keep it clean and it should heal up ok.

This is most likely the case. When snakes get layers of stuck shed on their tails, it constricts the tip until the point it falls off. After this happens, keep the wound clean until it heals. I think most people would recommend a betadine solution.
