BP shed 2 weeks ago. Now has bluish sheen in area and eyes seem cloudy again.

    Hi all,

Have a question I hope you can help with. We have had our BP a month now. She finished shedding two weeks ago. The past 2 days when I took her out of her hide, I notice bluish areas on her skin. Tonight, it seemed to be on the inside of the bends of her body. But my daughter and I noticed that her eyes were a little cloudy. Could she be going into shed again? Not sure how old she is, we got her from the local PS a month ago. She's been eating well, her first shed with us came off in one piece.

So could be going into shed again two weeks later?

How often do snakes this young shed? I'm guessing more than adults since they are growing faster?

    Thanks,

    Mog

The blue pearlescence is normal. Almost like she has a oily sheen.

I would just keep an eye on her (see what i did there ) and maybe post a pic in the meantime?

Has her weight gone up dramatically? They tend to shed with growth, so whilst bi-weekly isn't exactly common, it's also not unheard of (this goes for all snakes)
