    Can you help me decide?

I'm debating wether I should get a Leopard Gecko, Ball Python, or Fire Belly Toads.
What are your opinions on the 3 of these cool critters?
they are so cool! So hard to decide!

those three animals all require different care requirements. first of all you need to make sure you can care for it. do research BEFORE you get one. If you are able to provide for it, it's really whatever you like. they are all really cool little guys. I personally love ball pythons but you need to be ok to feed mice. just make sure that you are able to provide the proper care for an animal.

Oh, yes. I've done tons of research and know all the care requirements for the 3 of them. I own snakes, so I'm obsolutly fine with feeding mice or insects. I just love them all so much and only have room for one of them.....

it depends on your plans. are they just pets? are you going to breed? As aforementioned, i love ball pythons. All the different paint jobs and their personalities are awesome. decide what you want and will enjoy the most.

I have or have had all 3 of those. They are all fun and great pets, but in different ways. It just depends on what you like and are looking for.
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Have you kept anything before that eats crickets? If not, I'd take into consideration that they're a huge pain in the rear to deal with. I used to keep mine in a container a bit smaller than a 10 gal filled with cut up egg cartons and toilet paper rolls, with Fluker's gel cubes, but they never lasted very long anyway so I was always using up 30+ miles worth of gas just to pick up those damn crickets. They can also be annoying to remove from the container for feeding, especially if you're a bit squeamish around bugs like I am. And they'll chirp; allllll night long, and during the day too.

Bias aside, if it was me choosing, I would go for the ball purely because it doesn't eat crickets. Dead rodents don't chirp or need to be kept alive as sacrificial mini-pets.

That's quite a different line up of possible pets.

I'm not sure anybody can answer that other than yourself.

My personal opinion is, that snakes are an easy keep.

But I'm not you, so there you have it.

Yes! Crickets are suuuuch a pain. I never had much luck keeping a group alive for a very long time. I gave up on crickets and now I raise Dubia roaches instead for my Leopard. They're soooo much better. Don't chirp, don't cannibalize each other, I've had them for almost 8 months and I've had maaaybe 4-6 die. They don't jump and can't crawl up plastic walls. They are a bit pricier than crickets though.

I'd probably go with a Ball Python I love their personalities and variety, but Leos are cool too. Leos are also a bit more intelligent, but I'd probably still go with a BP. I have no amphibian experience.

I heard that leopard geckos could live off of mealworms from many different places.
