    Scab on lower lip?

Hey, everyone! I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong discussion forum, and if so, admin please move to the appropriate forum. Thank you very much!

I noticed last night that it looks like my bp has a scab on her lower lip, right under the crevice for her tongue. She ate on Sunday evening(7/20/14), and I didn't notice it then..

This was the best I could do to get her to stay still a few seconds for a mediocre picture

I'm not worried too much about her health because I went through great measure to be 100% sure that her husbandry was spot on, but I'm more worried as to how she got the injury being that I feed her f/t and I have no idea what she could be jabbing her mouth on.

I'm sure it'll go away within a couple sheds (she's actually going to shed any day now, has been in the clear-after-blue phase for a couple days!) but would just like a list of all the possibilities it could be in order to avoid it in the future.

Thanks in advance, everyone! Everyone's opinions are greatly appreciated.

    Struggles also says thanks

    Re: Scab on lower lip?

This is a stab in the dark but perhaps the claws of the mouse/rat when she swallowed? Although I have doubts that could do it if it was f/t?

What substrate is she on? Perhaps she got a chip caught in her mouth if she is on bark?

Again I am unsure and these are guesses but it seems like she'll be fine. Struggles is also very cute!

thanks for your input! the claws idea sounds like a probable one, but you're right in the sense that a f/t could be capable.. @_@

also, she is on coconut husk substrate. thank you!

My pastel had a scab on her lower lip/chin. I wasn't exactly sure where it came from but my best guess was she rubbed up against the top metal screen trying to get out. Went away within a week or 2.
