I was just wondering how many mice can I feed my baby bp. he is over four months old at this point. I am only feeding one a day. Is it ok to feed two in one feeding?

    One a day?

You should be feeding every 5-7 days. The prey total weight should be around 10% of the snakes weight. If that requires more than one feeder that is fine.

You should only be feeding one every 7 days. Do not feed one a day at all. One proper sized prey is all that is needed per feeding. If the prey is too small then you can feed 2.

Re: how manymice can i feedat once

Four months old it should be easily eating a single rat pup every 5 - 7 days. Personally, I go every 5 days until they get to 250 - 300 grams. Then I move to every 7 days. You should be feeding 10 - 15% of it's body weight. If you don't have one, invest in a digital scale to weigh your snake. You can get one at Walmart for less than $20.00.

I would try getting him over to rats as soon as you can. It will be easier as he grows and there is no need to feed more than one prey item if he is eating the correct size.

I feed as long as they eat.
You can do multiples IF they eat but remember they might skip every now and then.

Then why ask about feeding multiples?

I reason why I asked was because I have seen other owners feed two at the same feeding time and was wondering if anyone else does it or is it ok. I believe that do have him on rat pups I think?

Just to make sure we're all on the same page: You're feeding your baby ball python one (or possibly more) properly sized mouse, or maybe rat pup, every 1, 7, or maybe 5 days.

Help us help you. The key to getting helpful responses is to provide as much honest and accurate information as you can. There is a plethora of good advice in this thread already. I'm sure somewhere in here you've found the answer you were looking for to begin with. Right?

    Good luck!
