Hey everyone, I am new to keeping snakes and have a few questions about general care.
My first snake was a Kenyan Sand Boa, named Tyria, we purchased him/her from our local pet store (unsure of gender). Things seem to be going well with Tyria.
Earlier today I ended up getting another snake, a ball python. Now this is a long story, My neighbor rescued her from a owners that were going to release her into the wild.
While she was there she was injured by a rat, she has a scab on her tail and she also has a very small scab on her nose. My neighbor took her in and took her to the vet but couldn't keep her. Now i have her. Besides the two scabs she looks okay, I didn't notice mites or anything like that on her. Also, she has very cloudy eyes, they are a whitish color I read that means that she is getting ready to shed but I thought i would include that in this post because I was unsure if it.
She is a little over 3 feet long and we were told she was about a year old. For the moment is in a 20 gallon long tank. I plan on upgrading her to a larger tank soon.
We just brought her home about two hours ago and I have been researching since. I guess I am just wondering if it is normal to have cloudy eyes and if there is anything crucial about keeping ball pythons that I need to know.
Thanks for the help!
