I've seen several pictures of peoples store bought hides and their plastic home made hides and realized that I/we could do better.

I think the plastic hides are terrible, for looks and for the snake. In the wild, it's never going to hide in something made out of plastic. It's going to go into burrows made of hard dirt and rock. The best store bought hides are the nice heavy artificial rock hides, because of their roughness and more realistic look and feel. But I know that still doesn't beat the real thing.

So I found some nice flat rocks and mad my own hides.

This one is my larger hide, it can easily fit one snake at a time, but when they both try to squeeze in, it gets a little tight lol. And I got a little glue crazy as you can see by the drippage, but it is a snake hide after all and they won't notice haha. I used a low odor epoxy and waited a week to put it in there with them. (and it's also cute that they are laying in almost the same position

This one is smaller and especially made for my snake Apollo. He has investigated it quite a bit, but hasn't been all the way in it yet. He is just cautious, he will use it soon. The thing on the right buried is a toilet paper roll. I figured he might like checking it out tonight when he comes out.
