    Male or Female

I bought a regular ball python from Petsmart few weeks back and they weren't sure wether it was a male or female and I was wondering how could I determine male/female?

You could bring it in to a local reptile store and they should know how. Or you can probe or pop it. YouTube has a few how to videos. It's not hard to do but I would recommend bringing it in.

[sarcasm] That was kind. [/sarcasm] How do you think the OP found this wonderful forum to ask their very first BP related question? If you don't have anything nice to say...

To answer your question, ANikeAddict, there are a few good YouTube videos on this subject. Just do a search for "sexing ball pythons" on YouTube. Videos from Justin Kobylka, Ralph Davis, and Brian Gundy come to mind as good ones. However, if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, then I recommend finding someone near you with more experience to help you out. I'm not sure where you live, but there are a few shops around here that will probe (or pop) to determine sex for $5 per animal. Heck - maybe you can even find a forum member here that can help you out!

Good luck to you and congrats on your new addition!

A member here did a great job on how to probe your snake. I can't remember her name but it was a good video. It is on a sticky in one of the sub forums. I can't find it right now.

with both popping and probing you can get unreliable results and you can injure the snake if you dont do it correctly.

both methods are safe and reliable when the person doing it has properly learned how to do it.

i suggest you do a lot of research first, and then find someone who has experience with it to do it for you and to show you how its done.

the recent snakebytestv episode talks about it a little bit, it starts at 9:05 in the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndxY2uKZTF4 he explains the basics, and what can go wrong, and why you should learn it from an expert.

Evolution is a fact, evolutionary theory explains why it happens and provides four different lines of evidence that coalesce to show that evolution is a fact. If you disagree, send me a PM.

Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it.
