    Escaped feeder

One of my feeder rats escaped last night and I was wondering if anyone had some tips to catch it. Can I use a large mouse trap? Suggestions please

Feeder what? Is it a rat? Or a mouse? A Cockroach?

Do you want it alive? Or dead?

Whatever you do, do NOT use glue traps, or poison.

IF you want it dead, use an appropriately sized classic snap trap. They make large ones for rats, and small one for mice.

If you want it alive, use an appropriately sized live trap. I have had success with have-a-hart traps with mice and rats, and ASFs.

Place live, or kill traps against a wall, rodents prefer to run against the walls, so placing it flat up against a wall you think it is going to be running on is the best. Traps don't even necessarily have to be baited to work, because the mouse/rat is going to run over it anyways. But for bait, peanutbutter with mouse/rat pellet food stuck in it is the best bait.

Thank you. I actually found it in my closet. It was a rat. Lol I had left for the day but I put peanut butter on a 6 quart tub and covered the closet and she actually ate off it so that's how I knew she was in there
